Marlin Beach Lodge was inspired by the vision of Steve Brown, former owner of the Marlin Bar and Restaurant at the Cebu Yacht Club. Steve wanted to build a small expat community that was located away from the noise, smog, and pollution of Cebu City. A place that would allow the residents and guests to relax in a seaside atmosphere of tropical beauty and unassuming simplicity.

Steve wanted to incorporate his culinary expertise into the lodge, so he installed a professional commercial kitchen that serves a mixture of international cuisine and traditional Philippine dishes to the residents and guests at the on-site open-air restaurant. And no self respecting lodge would be complete without the traditional watering hole, also known as the Marlin Beach Bar, where residents, guests, and travelers, can meet, greet, and share stories of their life here in the Land of Smiles.

Steve's other love and passion is fishing. He owns Blue Sky Sportfishing, and he brings his lifetime knowledge of this sport to the lodge. We offer chartered boat services directly from our own boat launch here at the lodge. You can test your fishing skills, explore the nearby islands, spend the day snorkeling or scuba diving, venture out in search of dolphins and whales, or just have a pleasurable day of boating.
